「まだほんの少女のころのわたしはヴェニスに憧れ、母に連れられてこの不思議にすばらしい水の都をおとずれました。

のちにイタリアで暮らすことになり、ふたたび何度もヴェニスをたずねる機会を得ました。そしてわたしは運河の水面に映しだされる世界を撮りはじめたのです。

作品は2004年から2005年にかけて撮影されました。「光と闇の庭１－３」は今回はじめて発表するものです。

これらを通して、夢のようなヴェニス―水のなかに暮らすもうひとつの世界―をみなさまにお届けできればさいわいです。」

I fell in love with Venice when I was a young girl and visited this marvelous “water town” with my mother.

Later, I lived in Italy more than a year visiting Venice many times. In that time I began to photograph reflections on the canal’s water.

The photographs date from 2004-2005. “Gardens of Light and Dusk 1-3” have not been exhibited before.

With this pictures I try to represent the poetic Venice, the Venice of my dreams ?another world living its life on the water.
